If you have a 1st-6th grade student at Shawnee, Grove School, Pleasant Grove Public School, Liberty Academy, or homeschool, they are invited to join the Shawnee Youth Football league!
Sign ups will be this Thursday-Saturday at Play It Again Sports - Shawnee, OK from 6:00-7:30 PM.

It's almost break time for our Shawnee athletes! The OSSAA dead period is June 30-July 7. All SPS athletic facilities will be closed during this time.
Our coaches and sponsors will not have any contact with SMS and SHS students in any athletic activity governed by the OSSAA for the purpose of coaching, training, or instructing during the dead period. Enjoy your break, Wolves!

On Tuesday, June 18, registered voters will have the opportunity to participate in elections that will impact our community. Thanks to Gordon Cooper Technology Center construction and masonry trade students, all Shawnee Public Schools 5th grade classrooms received monster inch fraction boards. Sequoyah Elementary will be beginning the school day without electricity. Our administrative team has been in communication with OG&E, and we are confident that power will be restored soon. Breakfast will be served this morning, and we will continue the school day as normal as possible.
Out of an abundance of caution due to potential severe weather, the Shawnee Board of Education plans to meet briefly tonight as scheduled. However, the board will not take any action at tonight's meeting other than to vote to reconvene to a future date and time. The board will announce the date and time of this reconvening at tonight's meeting. Shawnee Public Schools will keep you informed of the new date and time of the reconvening.
Due to potential severe weather conditions in tonight’s forecast, SPS Kids Afterschool program and the Native American Student Awards Ceremony are canceled today, Monday, May 6, 2024.
