The next Title VI Indian Education Parent Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m.​ at the Board of Education Building in the Board Conference Room at 326 N. Union St. Families of Native American students are encouraged to attend.

Due to potentially hazardous side roads, parking lots, and sidewalks, SPS will cancel classes and have a traditional snow day on Tuesday, January 23. Students will not need to complete any online work on Tuesday. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.

The 2024 Community Health Survey is happening NOW! Don’t worry, this shouldn’t hurt a bit. The survey is an inclusive study conducted to understand health needs, barriers to service, and potential solutions. Take the survey here https://ousurvey.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9XK1sFkk9rTBWSO
Evening activities scheduled for January 16, including basketball games and spring homecoming ceremonies, will be rescheduled.
Homecoming will be January 25 at the wrestling match vs. Noble. Time and location of the match will be announced soon.
Due to the dangerously cold temperatures and sub-zero wind chills in the forecast, as well as potentially hazardous conditions on roads and in parking lots, Shawnee Public Schools will have a traditional snow day with no classes on Tuesday, January 16. Stay safe and warm.
