Shawnee Public Schools is pleased to announce the launch of a no-cost summer meal program for children ages 0-18 during the month of June. The program aims to ensure that all children in the community have access to nutritious meals during the summer break.

“We are thrilled to offer this program to our community,” said Julia Jesseph, SPS director of child nutrition. “Ensuring that our children have access to nutritious meals during the summer is a top priority for us, and we hope many families will take advantage of this opportunity.”

Meals will be available at Horace Mann Elementary, Sequoyah Elementary and Shawnee High School.

Horace Mann Elementary

Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 3-27

Times: Breakfast 7:45-8 a.m. Lunch 11:15-11:45 a.m.

Visitors should use the north entrance. The menu is available here.

Sequoyah Elementary

Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 3-27

Times: Breakfast 7:45-8 a.m. Lunch 11:15-11:45 a.m.

Visitors should enter the gym door on the east side of the building. The menu is available here.

Shawnee High School

Dates: Monday-Friday, June 3-21

Times: Breakfast 7:30-8 a.m. Lunch 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Children are required to eat the meals on-site at the designated locations. This initiative is part of Shawnee Public Schools' commitment to supporting the health and well-being of our students and community.
