All Shawnee Public Schools athletic facilities will be off limits to students July 1-9 due to the OSSAA Dead Period.
The OSSAA-mandated dead period runs Saturday, July 1, through Sunday, July 9, for all OSSAA member schools and precludes any coach or student from coming in contact with one another or an athletic venue for the purpose of athletic instruction, training, or participation.
Although coaches may perform maintenance tasks (i.e., clean storage areas, mow fields, perform office work, etc.) during this time, all athletic facilities will be completely off limits to all 6th-12th grade students across the district.
