Shawnee High School proudly celebrated Signing Day as two outstanding student-athletes took the next step in their athletic and academic careers by signing national letters of intent.
Josie Megehee, a standout on the Lady Wolves’ basketball team, officially signed with the University of Tulsa. Known for her leadership on and off the court, McGehee has been a dominant force for Shawnee, showcasing exceptional skill, work ethic, and passion for the game. She will continue her basketball journey as a member of the Golden Hurricane, competing in Division I athletics in the American Athletic Conference.
Camden Sateren, a star player for the Wolves’ soccer team, signed with the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. Sateren has been a key player for Shawnee, demonstrating talent, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence on the field. He will join the Blugolds’ soccer program, competing in the highly regarded Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).
Athletic Director Dax Leone commended both athletes for their achievements. "Josie and Camden have worked tirelessly to achieve their goals, and their dedication to their sports, academics, and community has made Shawnee proud," said Leone. "We are excited to see them excel at the collegiate level."
The school held a signing ceremony on campus, where family, friends, coaches, and teammates gathered to celebrate these remarkable athletes. Their accomplishments not only highlight their individual talents but also the strength of Shawnee’s athletic programs.
