Shawnee Public Schools is proud to announce the purchase of new maintenance vehicles, made possible through the recent passage of the district’s bond initiative. These vehicles will play a critical role in maintaining our campuses and ensuring safe and well-kept learning environments for students and staff.  These vehicles are essential tools that will allow the district’s maintenance team to efficiently address critical needs such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and other essential infrastructure across all campuses.

“This is more than an investment in equipment—it’s an investment in our schools and our community’s future,” said Assistant Superintendent Dr. Teresa Wilkerson. “Thanks to the unwavering support of Shawnee voters, we can take meaningful steps toward improving our facilities and services for everyone in our district.”

The bond measure, which was approved earlier this year, reflects the community’s commitment to enhancing education and providing resources that empower students to thrive. The addition of these vehicles is one of many ways the bond is helping Shawnee Public Schools deliver on its promise to create safe, functional, and inspiring spaces for learning.

“We are deeply grateful to our community for standing behind Shawnee Public Schools and saying YES to the future,” Dr. Wilkerson added. “This achievement belongs to all of us, and it is a testament to what we can accomplish together.”
