Shawnee Public Schools

The message below was emailed to families on September 6, 2024 at 3:12 p.m.

Dear Shawnee Public Schools Staff and Families,
We have been made aware of a social media threat of violence against many schools across the country. We have been in close communication with our law enforcement and we have no reason to believe there are any credible threats to our schools. We will remain vigilant in protecting our campuses.

As a reminder, Shawnee Public Schools takes threats seriously and any statement that might threaten or imitate a threat to our students is prohibited. As always, if you have any concerns of safety, please report them immediately to your site administrator or district administration.

We will always honor your choice of Shawnee Public Schools by communicating as openly and transparently as possible. Please rest assured that our student and staff safety is our top priority. When we work together, we can provide the best and safest educational experience for all students.

We will keep you informed as needed.  Thank you for your continued support of Shawnee Public Schools.
