A craft market and powwow is set for Saturday, May 4 at the citizen Potawatomi National Firelake Dance Grounds, 1702 Gordon Cooper Drive. Parking is available on the south side of the creek.
The event is led by Shawnee and Tecumseh Indian Education Departments with cohost Central Tribes of Shawnee Area (CTSA).
The day's schedule begins with gourd dancing at 2 p.m. Supper is at 5 p.m., and Grand Entry is set for 7 p.m. Closing is slated for 11 p.m.
All are welcome to attend the event. A special invitation is extended for all Native American seniors in the Class of 2024.
