Shawnee Families,
Due to a large water main break near the school, Jefferson Elementary will not have school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17. All other school sites will be open for school as usual tomorrow. This closing only applies to Jefferson Elementary.
Repairs on the water main break are expected to be completed tomorrow, Wednesday, and we anticipate school will resume at Jefferson on Thursday, January 18 this week.
I apologize for any inconvenience to our Jefferson families. Student and staff safety is always our top priority, and having water is essential for our school to operate. As always, we will communicate with you quickly whenever we make safety-related decisions that affect your family. Thank you for trusting Shawnee Public Schools with your child’s safety and education. We look forward to seeing Jefferson students on Thursday and all other students at their school sites on Wednesday.
