Coach Paul Duffield - Tennis

Tennis legend Paul Duffield came to Shawnee, Oklahoma, in 1948. Two years later, he began a 10-year streak of coaching state championship or state runners-up for Shawnee High School. He later served as head tennis coach at Oklahoma Baptist University.

Shawnee High School's tennis complex is named for Coach Paul Duffield in honor of the four decades he spent creating and building a tennis dynasty in Shawnee.

Girls Basketball 2012 5A State Champions

In 2022, the 2012 Shawnee Wolves girls basketball team were inducted into the Shawnee Basketball Hall of Fame, along with the team's assistant coach and basketball coaching legend, the late Steve Freeman.

In 2012, current SHS Coach Wendi Wells led the team to an undefeated season and the state championship when they defeated East Central High School, 45-41.
